• Custodian/Janitor: Custodians, also known as janitors, are responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds. They perform a variety of tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces. Custodians clean restrooms, replenish supplies, empty trash bins, and ensure that common areas are tidy and presentable. They may also perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Groundskeeper/Landscaper: Groundskeepers or landscapers are responsible for maintaining outdoor areas such as lawns, gardens, parking lots, and walkways. They mow lawns, trim shrubs and trees, plant flowers and other vegetation, remove weeds, and apply fertilizers or pesticides as needed. Groundskeepers also clear snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots during winter months and may assist with landscaping projects or installations.
• Maintenance Worker: Maintenance workers perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that buildings and facilities are in good working order. They may repair plumbing fixtures, replace light bulbs, fix doors or windows, paint walls, patch drywall, and perform other routine maintenance tasks. Maintenance workers may also assist with equipment installations or renovations as needed.
